Wings for Autism at Logan Saturday, Nov. 4th
Boston Logan Airport
Wings for Autism is a program specifically designed to support families of children with autism, creating a travel test run to help ease the stress of airline travel. Children and their families are able to familiarize themselves with airport and travel procedures. They experience: entering the airport; the
check-in process and checking bags; security screening; boarding the plane;
preparing for take-off; and exiting the plane.
The program, founded in 2011 by the Charles River Center, has reached national adoption and is now held in major metropolitan cities around the country.
The Charles River Center also trains personnel at Logan Airport to help them accommodate families when traveling with a child with special needs.
Our next event will be held at Logan Airport on Saturday, November 4th at 9:30 am. If you would like to attend this free event, please click here to fill out the registration form.
