Ellie Bloom Special Olympics
Come
and join us for the 29th annual Ellie
Bloom Olympics on Saturday, September 29th beginning at 9:30 am at De Fazio
Park in Needham!
This fun and inspiring event welcomes athletes of all ages and abilities to participate in track and field events such as
running and wheelchair dashes, tennis/softball throws, ring tosses, relay
races, and frisbee throws. Every event is modified so that all who
attempt to participate will be successful.
Athletes
will receive a medal for their achievement, a free t-shirt, and lunch provided
by Roche Bros. Over 150 athletes have
participated in previous years.
The Olympics are named after Ellie Bloom, a long-time supporter of and volunteer at the Charles River Center.
